Global Recycled Standard

What is Global Recycled Standard(GRS) Certificated Plastic?

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a voluntary product certification program. Which sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices.  Textile Exchange developed this standrad in 2008, a non-profit organization that promotes sustainability in the textile industry.

The GRS certification applies to various materials, including plastic. It verifies the presence and amount of recycled material in a product, tracks it through the supply chain, and ensures that it undergoes environmentally and socially responsible processing.

For plastic products to receive GRS certification, they must contain at least 20% recycled plastic material. GRS certification provides assurance to brands, retailers, and consumers that the product contains verified recycled content. And also is environmentally and socially responsible. Additionally, it promotes the circular economy by encouraging the use of recycled materials and reducing plastic waste in landfills and the environment.

We offer this plastic material for our hair brush and bath brush, and also other plastic products.

You can find more information about the GRS and its certification process for plastic and other materials on the Textile Exchange website.
